Blue is celebrated as a marker of socioeconomic status in history\, a symbol of cultural pride and economic exploitation\, and as a metaphor for sadness and depression. Artworks such as blue-and-white porcelain\, hand-pigmented paper pulp\, and cyanotype photography explore these concepts by updating forms and materials to reflect current-day concerns with a nod to historical precedent. Confirmed artists include Adam Chau\, Ifé Franklin\, Michelle Samour\, Heather Evans Smith\, and Andrea Pettway Williams. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Details\n \n \n \n \n \n \n August 21-December 20\, 2024 \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Price\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Free Entry \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Venue\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nIris & B. SUMMARY:Chamber Music Recital
DESCRIPTION:Department of Music\n \n \n \n \n \n Chamber Music Recital\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nChamber music is played by small ensembles of two or more players such as duos\, trios\, quartets\, etc.\, where every part is played by a single performer. Its intimate setting creates a process that is democratic\, participative\, and that across history has been compared to a conversation among friends. This recital features the students who participate in the Chamber Music course as they perform the works they have studied during the semester. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Details\n \n \n \n \n \n \n November 19\, 20246:00 PM \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Price\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Free Entry \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Venue\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nBrooks Concert Hall

She also writes and produces for film and television\, including on “Lessons in Chemistry\,” “Let the Right One In\,” and “A League of Their Own.” \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nContent Advisory\nThis performance includes a content advisory.
