Request Space

Members of the Holy Cross community may request to reserve space in The Prior Performing Arts Center for a variety of events and activities that take advantage of its unique resources.

Requests from greater Worcester community partners must currently be made in collaboration with one or more units at Holy Cross.

For events taking place from September 2025 – June 2026, the timeline for Holy Cross space requests is as follows:

Within each of these phases, priority is given to programming that aligns with the mission of The Prior Performing Arts Center and requires the unique resources of the center.

Please note that requests must be submitted through this form at least FOUR weeks prior to the proposed event.

PHASE 1
From February 2025 – June 15, 2025, The Prior Performing Arts Center will schedule standard student performances and exhibitions by the academic arts departments and programs; The Prior’s visiting artist series (Prior Presents); programming by the Cantor Gallery; and annual programming by the Offices of Admissions and Advancement.

PHASE 2
Beginning on June 15, 2025, The Prior Performing Arts Center will consider on a biweekly basis space requests for arts programming by students, faculty, and staff; programming at the intersection of the arts and other disciplines; and events and projects related to DEI and Inclusive Excellence. All space requests for the fall semester should ideally be submitted by July 19, 2025.

PHASE 3
Beginning on August 26, 2025 (start of classes), all requests from the College community will be considered together on a rolling biweekly basis.

Note 1: Request acceptance is limited by literal calendar availability, particularly in the center’s two theaters, but equally importantly, by the operational capacity of the performing arts center’s staff.

Note 2: Student requests must be made in conjunction with an academic department or the Office of Student Involvement.

Note 3: During the confirmation process, you will be informed of all procedures and relevant facilities use policies regarding the space in question, including your responsibility as the reservation holder for set-up, clean-up, and any relevant staffing. The Prior’s scheduling team will determine any necessary resource activation based on your request parameters which may require triggered costs to be billed to you.

Note 4: During the confirmation process, you will be informed of any charges pertaining to your request. You will be responsible for coordinating with all other campus units (e.g., Catering & Events, Facilities, Campus AV, etc.) for any necessary auxiliary elements.
