Cassatt String Quartet

Jazz vocalist Dominique Eade and bassist Peter Weitzner

The renowned Cassatt String Quartet will present premiers of: Chris Arrell’s Voyagers, inspired by the Voyager Interstellar Mission; Shirish Korde’s Moods of Ellington, featuring award-winning Jazz vocalist Domonique Eade and written in celebration of Duke Ellington’s anniversary, and God Bless the Child, for vocalist and cello based on the Billi Holiday classic. The program will also include the String Quartet No. 1 (1929) by Florence Price which  was inspired by African American folk and sacred music.
