Inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll
In Curiouser & Curiouser, adapted and directed by Lynn Kremer and featuring original music composed by Karl Hinze ’10, an elderly Alice recalls her childhood memories of hearing fantastic stories from Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, better known as Lewis Carroll. Images and text from Carroll’s beloved books swirl on stage in this original dance/drama that asks the question, “Who am I in this world?” Music, puppets, projections, and dance are integrated into a devised piece in collaboration with artists I Nyoman Catra, Kevin Fulton, Kurt Hultgren, Lucas Tahiruzzaman Syed, Qingan Zhang, BOOM! (Leah Smith and Michael Townsend), and Dramaturg Christian Krenek ’12.
This production from the Holy Cross Department of Theatre & Dance is sure to charm lovers of Carroll and audiences of all ages.
