Brooks Scholar Sophie Rose Riopel ‘29 (saxophone and voice) performs a set of jazz standards inspired by the musical partnership between Nancy Wilson and Cannonball Adderley, whose 1962 album collaboration brought together Wilson’s rising stardom and Adderley’s famously celebrated quintet.

Inspired by Adderley’s tone, and Wilson’s expressive phrasing, the program highlights each artist’s broader repertoire and influence.
