Chamber Singers presents a program of music that features poetry about the experience of being in love.

Selected works by Debussy, Barber, Monteverdi, Whitacre, Strozzi and others depict various perspectives on and stages of love, from new passion awakening, to love unrequited; to frivolous fickle love, to the finding “the love of your soul.” Through the musical settings of poetry by Neruda, d’Orléans, Garcilaso de la Vega and Stevens, we explore the joys and follies of this most fundamental of human emotions.
