CANCELED: The award-winning Bala Chamber Brass presents their second concert of the season, featuring two new works for brass quintet by Holy Cross faculty composers Chris Arrell and Matthew Jaskot. Ulysses Loken performs piano works from Japanese composers Toru Takemitsu and Takashi Yoshimatsu. Takemitsu’s rich Messiaen-influenced harmonic and gestural language is set against Yoshimatsu's elegant modal counterpoint, influenced by Bach, Satie, and jazz and progressive rock music.
